MikaVale

Mika Vale, photographed against a colour-blocked wall.

Colour surrealism

Colour as structure. Pigment stacked until the weather on the skin is no longer natural.

Mika uses colour the way Alma uses black: as load-bearing material. Saturation is not decoration.

The images are slightly wrong on purpose — gravity slipping, flora with the wrong season, light that does not match the room.

He works in long colour days. Bring food. Do not arrive burned. The pigment will not sit on damaged skin.
